Each heat pump basically has four connections, a flow and return to the ground and a flow and return to the underfloor.
The flow and return to the ground is connected via an external manifold to the slinkies. Due to condensation issues this manifold should be kept external to the building and any pipe between the manifold and heat pump, which runs internally, should be insulated with vapour barrier insulation.
The flow and return to the heating system should be plumbed in plastic pipe to avoid vibration problems. An expansion vessel and filling point should be incorporated into the heating system and should be part of the heating distribution supply.
