Kensa Heat Pumps Announces New Commercial Headquarters in Exeter
Kensa Engineering, the only UK manufacturer of a complete range of ground source heat pumps and winner of the prestigious Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy, has launched new commercial headquarters at Exeters' recent development; Basepoint Business Centre.
The demand for renewable technologies continues to grow rapidly with ground source heat pumps preferred for their high energy efficiencies which can deliver low carbon emissions and considerable running cost savings for both residential and commercial properties. In the current climate, securing low fuel costs from a renewable and sustainable supply; sourcing heat energy from the ground, remains a valuable opportunity for developers and homeowners alike and is strongly supported by attractive grants.
Managing Director, Simon Lomax, says "Kensa's manufacturing facility in Truro has been re-located to a 20-acre former tin mine site to facilitate planned growth. This year we have already secured a £2m order for 425 appliances which will be retro-fitted into social houses to displace solid fuel boilers. This programme will reduce carbon emissions by over 75% and provide a far more cost-effective heating solution to the tenants. Further major orders are expected so the new commercial headquarters, established in Exeter is an ideal location to allow us to recruit high quality staff to the business.
Exeters' new Basepoint Centre was chosen for its quality business facilities and excellent position next to the M5, providing fast and convenient access to the surrounding region and the Midlands.
Kensa's Sales Manager, Paul Dennison adds "The facilities at Basepoint are first-class and we have the freedom to add space as the need arises. In addition, we will take full advantage of the excellent meeting room facilities to host training sessions for our distribution and installation partners. The appeal of ground source heat pumps - which effectively move energy stored in the ground into any building - is becoming established and we look forward to welcoming enquiries from merchants, plumbers, developers and home-owners."
As UK manufacturers, Kensa's award winning engineers have designed a ground source heating system specifically for the British climate with technical guidance provided by the UK based team, supporting clients and installers at any stage of the project.
