Frequently Asked Questions at Kensa Frequently Asked Question

How can I help minimise my tenants running costs?

To reduce running costs and hence heating bills, heat pumps should be installed in well-insulated buildings with underfloor heating mounted in screed, with the DHW produced by solar panels backed up with an off-peak immersion heater. As the underfloor is mounted in screed it is possible to reduce heating bills further by the tenant using off-peak electricity tariffs such as Economy 10.

Due to cost constraints it might not be possible to install underfloor throughout and radiators might become the preferred choice. In this case it can still be possible for your tenants to obtain low running costs compared to some traditional fossil fuels.
