What is COP?

COP stands for the Coefficient of Performance and is a measure of how efficient the heat pump is. A COP of 4 means that for every one unit of electricity used by the heat pump then 4 units of heat are produced, i.e. 400%. COP varies with the water outlet temperature of the heat pump, the higher the temperature the lower the COP.
