The Kensa Heat Pump Range

On this webpage you will find an overview of the Kensa Ground Source Heat Pump Range. For an explanation of how a ground source heat pump works, check out the short movie below.

Domestic Compact Heat Pumps

The Kensa Heat Pumps are split into single (4-12kW) and twin (12-24kW) compressor heat pumps.  The unit incorporates the ground and underfloor circulation pumps, high specification acoustic hoods and double vibration isolation to reduce noise and vibration issues, and also has a soft start installed as standard to reduce the starting load of the heat pump.

Compact heat pumps are designed for location in utility, plant rooms, or at the back of a garage, ideally away from any noise sensitive areas. Whilst the unit is not loud, during the heating season the low hum of the compressor may run for 10-14 hours per day so is best installed away from bedrooms and main living areas. The Compact Heat Pump range is the most complete range of ground source heat pumps that will operate on single or three phase power supplies and can provide both space heating and domestic hot water.

Commercial Plantroom Heat Pumps

The Plantroom range is designed for professional installation in larger buildings and for commercial projects. They are built as individual modules, which slot together to form higher outputs giving a greater flexibility to match the heat pump output to the heating and/or cooling load of the building.

They are ideally suited for commercial applications such as schools hospitals and retail outlets as well as communal systems where they can be used to generate heat for a number of dwellings.
